Lucy Cooper- Setting Manager Lucy is our manager who has her foundation degree in early years and is now working towards her BA (hons). She is safeguarding level two and inter-agency training, and has her SENCo training alongside other related SEN qualifications. She has completed beginning with babies training, PEEP training, and a number of literacy and mathematics intervention courses. She has attended specialist training in working with children with English as an additional language, and has both school and nursery experience. She has up to date first aid training and prevent duty.

Melissa Leuty - Deputy Manager

Melissa completed her level three in Early Years whilst working in a nursery setting, but moved to a special needs school where she worked as a teaching assistant for four years. During this time, she gained lots of experience working with children with a range of additional needs, using equipment appropriate to their requirements, and supporting them in the most suitable way to gain the full potential from their learning. After going on maternity leave to have her son, Melissa decided to return to early years and has found a particular interest in developing the outside area to promote our free flow ethos.  She is first aid trained and has completed her prevent duty training and safeguarding.

Kate Tilbrook

Kate is a level three-trained member of staff, with over ten years’ experience working within nursery settings. She has worked with a range of age groups, but has spent a particular amount of time working with children under two. Kate has two little girls, and alongside her vast number of years in early year’s settings, she has lots of experience in promoting play and learning in those imperative years before starting school.  She has done all relevant safeguarding and first aid training.

Who’s Who?

Suzanne Lorenz

Suzanne is a level three-trained member of staff, who gained all of her experience in early year’s settings. She has a nine-year-old daughter of her own, adding to her knowledge and passion for early years. She spends all of her time in the setting outdoors, and is keen to promote learning within this environment, providing exciting invitations to play whatever the weather. She enjoys taking the children on trips and walks around the community, and loves getting messy! Suzanne has completed first aid training, safeguarding and prevent duty.

Beth Owen -Apprentice

Beth is our most recent apprentice who is currently undertaking her level 2 qualification. She has experience with children with her nephew, and is already building wonderful relationships with both staff and children. Beth has completed both her safeguarding and prevent duty training.

Emma Goult - Bank Staff

Emma is a member of our bank staff, and although it is rare for us to see Emma, we have very excited boys and girls when she does come to spend the day with us. Emma is a level three qualified member of staff.

Kirsty Stevens

Kirsty has recently joined the team, and is very excited to get to know the children and all of their interests. She is level three qualified, and is booked to attend her paediatric first aid training. She has completed all relevant safeguarding and inclusion training.

Nicola Cooper - Committe

Chairperson /Volunteer

Alongside being our committee chair and gaining lots of experience within that role, Nicola spent lots of time volunteering within the setting whilst completing level three early year’s educator qualification, and continues to do so even whilst qualified. She has now gained vast knowledge on not only the running of the nursery, but also seeing the day-to-day running of the setting. She has four children of her own, ranging from five to fifteen, all of whom attended Cinder Ash, and therefore has seen the many changes over the years! Nicola has her first aid, safeguarding and prevent duty training.

Sophie Moyse

Sophie is a level two qualified member of staff, and she is now completing her level three apprenticeship. All of her experience is within early years settings, and she has shown great passion for this sector. She has built fantastic bonds with the children, showing great skill in helping those children who are finding the new nursery experience difficult, helping them to build relationships with staff and peers. Sophie has completed first aid training, safeguarding and prevent duty.
